Crossing the Finish Line
If you receive my Newsletter, you know that Shadow Over The Heartland is published and available! Phew!
It took roughly four months to get that done. It was slower than expected, but some of it was on my side as I learned the process. For example, in the novel, there are emails between characters, and I wanted the emails to be indented to set them off from the other text. That proved to be a challenge for consistency throughout the book. In the end, we standardized it in italics, which works fine.
The text and cover were then forwarded to another company, which focuses on printing (on demand) and distribution to other booksellers (I’ve noted those below, but I am not sure they are all up yet).
My request: If you enjoy the book, I’d appreciate it if you would comment on Amazon or the distributor where you purchased it. Plus, I’d like to see the comments, positive and negative, as a learning experience.
What’s next? I am brainstorming for the next novel…in no particular order:
Volume 2 Joshua Grayson
A fiction novel focused on a family during the 1929 - 1943 Great Depression linked to my Grandfather (Whom I never met) and his family, including my father.
A Horror story
A College Fraternity Story
Also, I’ve been taking a class on Short Stories at a local university. Our current focus is on Flash Fiction (look it up)! It’s challenging, and I’m enjoying it. I may share a story if you’re interested.
I’d appreciate your thoughts on the above… what interests you most? You can send a note to the website.
As always, thank you very much for your interest and support!
