Springing Forward
“Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends
We’re so glad you could attend
Come inside! Come inside!”
The quote above is from a song by Emerson Lake & Palmer, the album playing on my turntable as I write this blog. During the COVID debacle, I took up collecting records which helped me relax and gain an appreciation for the artistry of musicians. It was fun to find new talented music groups. For example, have you ever heard of the early 70’s rock group—Big Star? Check them out (also a documentary on Amazon). At this point, I have just over 300 albums. I welcome suggestions!
As many of you know, I worked for many years in the finance world, which I enjoyed. But taking on something new energizes me. Instead of reading Equipment Leasing and Finance magazine and the Wall Street Journal, I’m now reading Publishers Weekly. It’s quite different! There’s certainly a focus on writing skills but also creativity, all of which excites me.
Spring is here bringing warmer weather!!! It’s an interesting time for me as I look to have my novel published. Spring symbolizes a time for new beginnings, renewal, and growth. The literary world is very new to me. Currently, I’m learning the “rules” for approaching literary agents, and also looking into self-publishing. That will be a fascinating ride. I’ll share my experiences in the Newsletter and future blogs. A new beginning.
Thank you for your support! More to come…
Take care,
Tom
