SOTH Sequel Sneak Peak
As my last April blog noted, there was a push for a Joshua Grayson sequel. I've been working on the storyline, which is roughly eighty pages long. That being said, the storyline can always change!
I always enjoy writing. I believe I may have mentioned this before, but I find the story tends to write itself. If there is an issue, it may take a little while, but the solution comes to me.
I noted that I'd provide some text from the novel's beginning in the April blog. You can find the (current) first page below!

"Psychopaths want things. If hurting others helps them get what they want, no problem. They don't feel pity or fear or remorse…"
Joshua Grayson walked onto the stage, scanning the crowd of more than two hundred people in the auditorium at the University of Miami. He turned and pointed to the screen behind him. "Yes, psychopaths!
"Think of Jack the Ripper, The Night Stalker, The Zodiac Killer, Vlad the Impaler. I could go on, but repeating their names is too ugly. The word psychopath comes from the joining of Greek words in the mid-1800s; soul and suffering, or feeling. They can look like everyone else.
"I spoke with a psychiatrist once, and he reeled off characteristics such as no morality, lack of empathy, lying becomes accepted as truth, incapable of feeling guilt or shame, and a superiority complex."
He paused, "Anyone here meet this profile?... On second thought, I don't want to know!"
As the crowd laughed, he smiled, moved to the lectern, and pulled the microphone forward. "What do you call a person who pursues riches even if it means death to others?"
The audience was quiet as Joshua scanned the audience with no takers. He ended the quiet with: "Dr. Amaline Currie." The crowd grew loud.

There is no title yet. As I move forward, I'll see if you have any thoughts. If it makes the title, we'll give you credit in the book and a signed book!
Also, earlier this year, a couple of friends who are in Book Clubs asked me to attend (in person or via video) the club to answer questions about "Shadow Over The Heartland." That sounds like fun! The first one is in September. I'm open to that for a group if you’re interested.
Cheers!
